Commentary: Tearing Down the Silicon Valley Wall

Elon Musk has finally managed to buy Twitter. And the moment he did, the enraged Left flipped out.

Abruptly leftists began trashing their favorite electronic communications platform as the domain of the nation’s elite, professional classes. Had they just discovered that they had been racists and privileged users all this time?

And what happened to the Left’s former worship of Musk as the man who revolutionized the clean, green automobile industry with his Tesla electric car company?

Or Musk the space revolutionary and hip star trekker, who with his own money helped ensure the United States remains preeminent in space exploration?

Or Musk, the patriot who is providing free next-generation internet service to the underdog Ukrainians fighting Russians for their lives?

  1. Same old story. The left finds a savior, and worships them so long as they're doing what the left wants (which itself is subject to change at any time with no notice, and is part of the fun). As soon as their savior du jour steps out of line, they are immediately and mercilessly branded as worse than Hitler.

Of course, the left was just using Elon as he was an enabler of their retarded electirc vehicle wet dreams. He was never one of them, just a guy who was smart enough to be exploited in order to get them something they wanted. Elon, in turn, happily took their money.

He isn't one of us either, but he is the source of much entertainment tbese days. For that, I'll tip my hat to the man. I will not, however, place any trust in him.

    1. Your comment does not dispel my notion Musk is alike the Mule in The Foundation Trilogy.

    2. I'll confess my knowledge of Asimov's writings is limited. I see Elon as more like the jawbone of an ass (on maybe that's nina jankowicz, heh) with which Samson smote and stacked thousands of Phillistines as in Judges 15:16. At least he has filled that role nicely the past week or so. For all I know, he is one of the four horsemen, given his fascination with transhumanism. But, it's 2022 and things are grim, so I'll take what laughs I can get.

    3. Doesn't Musk have kids? That would rule out the Mule, as he was sterile.

  2. He has not yet purchased Twitter, and has no official role there - the deal may close in October, or may not (crooked books, crooked US Government).

Imagine what will happen when Musk DOES own Twitter?

This is a bald faced lie. Musk is being well paid, via "progress payments" from NASA for each of his "missions" and, more importantly, the testing along the way to get his rockets operational. Then there's all of the rocket engines and other rocket tech, which we taxpayers paid for, that he was gifted by NASA to get his space launch systems operational.

Then there's Tesla, which during its development, was heavily subsidized, by copious and generous "grants" from the Obama regime.

No doubt that Musk has advanced space and battery tech significantly faster than NASA and other electric vehicle co.'s would have during this time period. However, implying that he did it on his own and with his own money is pure bullshit.

I do like that he will purchase Twitter. This Ministry of Truth dept. in HS is beyond the pale and a direct affront to the First Amendment. Not to mention the lunatic that Biden picked to head it up. How coincidental that they rolled that out within days of Musk's announcement re: Twitter AND that unless an emergency injunction is issued barring it from being implemented, it will not be heard before the SJC until after the mid-terms, if then. Heard of anyone on the GOP side of the aisle filing a lawsuit yet? Ya, I didn't think so.

Remember one thing. If this dept is not struck down by the SJC immediately, it will be enshrined in .gov forever.

When was the last time a Fed. dept. was abolished or defunded?

  4. ...and then there's the My Pillow Guy, who opened a new account on Twatter to be almost immediately suspended AGAIN. So, censorship still lives there.

One of things that I found interesting is how many followers that conservatives have gained, to the tune of ten's of thousands in some cases, since the announcement.

  6. Yet it's OK for fuckstick bezos to own the WAPO, but it will be the end of the world if Musk owns Twitter.
    Leftists; nothing, if not hypocrites.
