Police described the suspect as roughly 6'2" tall, weighing 160 lbs, with an athletic build, and with short close cut dark hair.

They'll show the video of the guy but don't fucking dare mention his race.
Back about 10 years ago, McClatchey Publishing, who owns my old hometown paper The Modesto Bee, decided to quit mentioning race in their descriptions. It was pretty easy to figure it out though because the editor would slip in clues. If the suspect was white, they'd give the hair color and say pale complexion, Mexican was olive complexion with black straight hair and blacks had dark complexions, brown eyes and tightly curled black hair.
It has become a Joke.
ReplyDeleteThe media really uses Zero Critical Thinking. Worse they are incredibly Dishonest.
And they wonder why there disbelieved amd Hated.
All they have to print is the person's first name and 90% of the time it'd be, Pin the Pox on the Monkey.
ReplyDeleteModesto Charlie Chartwritre End Of The Trail old decent tattoo artist, still have business card here in South Africa visited him many years back.
ReplyDeleteCharlie Cartwright's End of the Trail was about a half mile from my house. He's one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet. I've been tattooed by him, his son Nick and daughter Raina. I was in his shop so much me and Charlie were on a first name basis.
DeleteWire cutter good ole tattooist never die.
DeleteWhat I've read is that police to won't give a racial description or release mug shots because it causes low self esteem in the black communities. If they would give such description it would eliminate 87 percent of the potential suspects, or 13 percent if the case may be.

When McClatchy owned the rag here in Columbia SC years ago they started leaving out any mention of race and then mysteriously the comments section was dropped and replaced by some lame excuse. Near bankruptcy, McClatchy finally unloaded it to some hedge fund somewhere. It still sucks though.
