What do you do when the police show up at your door with an ERPO gun confiscation order and say they're here for your guns? What is an Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) or "Red Flag" order? The Armed Attorneys Richard Hayes and Emily Taylor break down their experience for anyone facing a Red Flag order.
VIDEO HERE (6 minutes)
Why would anyone know you have guns in the first place? First rule of defeating gun grabbers is no one knows what you got or where it is.
ReplyDeleteYour spouse, children, people who see you buying ammo or at the range.....
DeleteMy brother took my sister to the range. It was her first time shooting any gun. No harm, encouraged actually, except her longtime friends who she gabs with are staunchly anti-gun.
DeleteAlthough he introduced one to shooting, by doing so he revealed himself as having iron.
The other day I had a casual conversation with a worker at a store. Firearms came up. Now he knows I shoot, by no leap of intelligence, he knows I have something to shoot with. And so does everyone who was in earshot.
As Americans honoring the whole Bill of Rights, there is no problem. But there are those others. And they don't wear distinguishing marks to tell they will act to abridge your rights.
But I nor anyone should act in ways to 'adjust' how we live in accordance to them. The same is said for those who act under the Crown, er, I mean the guvment. We don't cotton to their way. Take that for every which way you can think.
Did you own guns when you were married to your ex-wife?
DeleteChip, maybe an angry wife? maybe a peer influenced child? maybe by computer keyword search showing your interest in weapons and ammo? maybe a credit card uses for same? maybe from smart phone keyword use as Siri and Alexis IS ALWAYS Listening?, Maybe that smart TV (same)? maybe because years before you decided silence was the best policy you violated OPSEC with friends at a party or maybe at a range? maybe a friend (maybe peer to peer sales of weapons and ammo) that has been put into a plea deal to turncoat or find many, many decades behind bars? maybe because several someone's that got nabbed ALL had you on their cellphone speed dial?
ReplyDeletePlenty of ways to find yourself in the crosshairs of a Fed Gun Grab.
Planning to be the last one on the boxcar to the Gulag is STILL Going on that Boxcar.
Well, Kenny. I sure have had fun hanging 'round yer place today. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThe key isn't to keep the fact that you own firearms a secret, because that is a hard secret to keep. The key is to keep secret how many firearms you have.
ReplyDeleteThe Founders of this Republic did not get upset with the brits & their lackeys for intruding in their lives, taking whatever they wanted and moving into their homes to seek out their very existence on the gratitude of the homeowners. They did not get upset when they tried claiming their guns and powder supplies. THEY SHOT THEM! We will not get our Republic back and and life as defined under our Constitutional blueprint until we learn to do the same.
ReplyDeleteCan't confiscate what can't be found and you have the right to not testify against yourself; the burden of evidence is on the accuser.
ReplyDeleteThat said, "CREW" is good to know. That is police interactions must contain Consent, Recognized Court Exception, Emergency, or a Warrant. These red-flag orders might illegally supersede that but it's food for though. CREW is something taught TO police as a part of more up to date training packages.
legalization / harm reduction forums often have very good security and legal sub-forums and legal attorneys sometimes answer questions too. One can learn a lot from such forums even if they don't support the subject the forum is centered around. Programming forums, criminal forums, employer / worker forums, sometimes hunting forums, really anything that involves the law heavily will have a security and legal sub forum or topics and it's usually very good info. Some are probably more indexed / monitored than others.
I was on a TO team in two penitentiary settings.
DeleteI worked to instill a sense of decency, knowing that sort of behavior is usually reciprocating.
.
My charges were primarily Caucasian.
That is no longer the situation.
The old school 'sense of decency' evaporated along with the sense of cultural cohesion.
