As it happens, I heard from pigpen on Saturday. Aside from the usual BS life throws at us all, he's OK. But ongoing issues sometimes keep him too busy to comment.
Sorry to worry everyone. I am still around causing trouble. The bad weather was close to the top of the " mitten", while I live right on Lake Michigan, right in the middle of the "mitten." It surprised me to know that you all worried about someone like be. But you made my day, and I always am worrying about you all, as well. Have a great week, and stay safe, especially with the BS going on in DC.
WiscoDave, If I have any kind of decent character at all, I have my parents to thank. Unlike some, my parents were both hard workers, involved, and even with 5 kids, were always there for sports events, band concerts, etc. My mom even made food and they took it to baseball games, for me and my twin brother when our baseball teams in high school had double headers. I also would sometimes wake up to a stranger sleeping on the couch, who needed a place to stay for the night, and my folks let them crash at our very large house. Then they fed them at their restaurant and sent them on their way. So I have to say that it is me that was the lucky one, and perhaps it just flows to others a bit. One thing that I did learn on my own is that I have never missed money that I have given away. Be well, my friends.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Bear. Me and Wisco were getting a little worried about him. First there was that tornado in Michigan, then nothing from him.
DeleteDarn it; that pigpen update was supposed to be under my name, not anonymous.
ReplyDeleteThanks
DeleteWiscoDave
Heh, Ken and Wisco have our six even on the interwebs.
ReplyDeleteWell, kinda difficult tracking down “anonymous.”

Pigpen, you are one of the best hearted people on the internet.
DeleteThe world, and I, would be poorer without you.
WiscoDave
It's good to hear from you!
