It used to be that at least your local police could be counted on... "Officer Friendly"... I grew up with Adam-12... I mean who didn't? Reed and Malloy...
Dragnet before that... Joe Friday and Bob Gannon... granted a bit moralizing to the extreme, especially from Jack Webb... some of the late 60's Hippy Drug episodes are literal laugh riots when you re-watch them these days... Reefer Madness and all that...

ReplyDeletelearned that from the army back in the 1970's. so one might understand why I don't trust or believe anything they say since. and as far as cops go, they tend to make a problem worse than it was for the most part. only once did I see them help or solve a problem ,and that was a very long time ago.

ReplyDeleteAs a Texian, I am shocked by this behavior. Maybe somewhere else but never in a million years in rural Texas. Neither I nor any other Texian gives a rat's ass what the Supreme Court says about duty to protect. ANY adult has an absolute duty to protect children. Many people need to be fired as the first step to accountability.
ReplyDeleteThe majority I come across are bullies and asses. They escalate, talk over you after asking irrelevant questions, and threaten you with all manner of shit. If the world changes for the worse those shits are NOT to be counted on for Constitutional protection.
