So you wanna get up close and personal, huh?

REDDING, Calif. — A runaway bull in Northern California injured several people after jumping a fence and escaping during a popular rodeo. 

Video from the Redding Rodeo shows the bull bucking its rider and jumping the fence during the final section of the bull riding event on Friday night.

    Chasing those bulls with horses and ropers is seriously stupid, and probably why the bull jumped. I saw a bull jump the gate at Grand National one year. He'd bucked off his cowboy and run to the gate to GTFO, but the guys at the EIGHT FOOT HIGH gate were too slow to open it.

    The bull jumped it. From a standstill. It was awesome. --nines
