SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California’s water use jumped dramatically in March, state officials said Tuesday, as one of the driest stretches on record prompted a wave of homeowners to start watering their lawns earlier than usual in defiance of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s pleas for conservation amid a severe drought.
This will make a living example of the economic parable of "tragedy of the commons". See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tragedy_of_the_commons
ReplyDeleteAll for green, green grass too. Fido needs a soft place to crap. The er uh CA curbside community folk too. Lawns must be the largest crop Americans cultivate and we don't even eat it. But we might need some of those N Korean recipes for it soon the way Democrats are ruining the nation.
No mask mandate for lawns?
ReplyDeleteOops, this is California: No mask persondate for lawns?
A water shortage created by the criminals at the California State Water Resources Control Board.
ReplyDeleteThey did everything in their power to empty those lakes.
DeleteAnd the Namby Pambies in southern CA refuse to do anything sensible, like putting in a Desal plant offshore to help balance water supplies.
DeleteThe one million acre foot New Bullards Bar Reservoir, under the control of the Yuba County Water Agency, currently holds 102% of it's historical average for this date, while the reservoirs under state and federal control are at levels that support the California climate change caused drought narrative. Funny how that works.
DeleteSpeakin' of water shortages, the little prick now is "undecided" on whether he's for or against a water desalination plant in Long Beach at a defunct power station. At least 50,000 gallons a day of tasty drinking water, vs no water at all. Is there a choice here?
