The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida says George Utley, 66, has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for receiving disability benefits from the Department of Labor Disability Benefit Payments, claiming he stole government property. Utley is expected to pay back the $732,459.46 of disability money he was given.
It may have said it and I missed it. I reckon this makes him a Felon. Now he won't be able to get a job. Don't matter, he's one stupid SOB.
ReplyDeleteWalmart will hire him as a greeter....
DeleteWell , there is always politics
DeleteThere’s a lot of this going on. He just happened to get caught.
ReplyDeleteYears ago I worked with a guy who claimed he was injured on the job by a machine and lost the use of his right arm. A few months into litigation a video surfaced of the the guy at a bowling alley with what appeared to be a miraculously cured injury. Case closed.

I was going to say he won't be able to collect on that government pension now but since this is a government agency, run by unions, he probably will.
ReplyDeleteDaryl
who the hell did he think he was, A politician?
ReplyDelete$732,459.46 of disability money? Holy shit, how do I cash in on a windfall like that?
ReplyDeleteIf he doesn't have the money take it from his union.
ReplyDeleteSumting not adding up in the story...3300 a month per year is slightly less 39k. Multiply that by 9 years inclusive and it's under 360 k dollars. Where did the 700+ k figure come from...it's not clear.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing. There's something else going on here.
