The driver can be heard saying: "Was out with my friends at the Rez, went up the curb, and wound up there." He adds, "it sucks.". Quite the succinct statement.
Coming home, took the curve too fast, jumped the curb, and drove straight up the guy wire on the telephone pole; the little Isuzu pickup sat straight up on the wire on its tailgate. The wire was dead center frame. We jumped out, lifted the tailgate, let it slide diwn onto the sidewalk, and drove away, An inch in either direction and we would've rolled.

I've seen this several times in the past. He didn't "travel up the pole". He traveled up the "guy wire" that supports the utility pole.

ReplyDeleteFor some reason it hung on the cable by the 2 left-side wheels & stayed there.
