California working on denying gun permits based on "ideological viewpoints"

The Supreme Court’s decision in Bruen on Thursday didn’t simply shoot down New York’s onerous “good-cause requirement” in the gun permit application process. It set up similar laws in other states for likely revocation. One of those states is California, where they have their own requirement that applicants must show a “good cause” or “special need” before a carry permit is issued. State Attorney General Rob Bonta sent out a letter on Friday to law enforcement and government attorneys noting the change and saying that the state’s current “may issue” regime should be able to be converted to a “shall issue” regime with few modifications. So that’s good news, right?

  1. The imperial government can start looking at criminals for a law-abiding citizen’s reason to carry.

  2. When a conservative reporter (the only one in Sacramento, that I know of) asked Governor Moonbeam if he realized that a bill he had just signed into law was unconstitutional, his reply was "So sue me".
That's exactly the way the Democrats now infesting the state capitol think today.

  3. "...But because Thomas laid it out in black and white, they’ll be answering awkward questions about it from now until November. ..."
Why "conservatives" suck, exhibit #180057896. This happy lil cuckservative should go ask his wife's boyfriend to slap him. Repeatedly.

  4. There will be, of course, no enforcement of the Supreme Court decision. The Department of Justice isn't going to lift a finger. No one's going to send the 82nd Airborne to Sacramento to pay Gavin Newsom a visit, either--that only happens in support of PC causes that SJWs like. If the court had instead told De Santis in Florida that he wasn't allowed to make it slightly less convenient for sexual deviants to groom little boys in the classroom, why, then, of course, the DoJ and NAMBLA would have had lawyers with briefcases full of cease-and-desist orders strapped to the nose cones of ICBMs and launched them while the ink was still drying. There would have been paratroopers landing on the lawn of the Governor's mansion, a SWAT team from the US Marshals' Service kicking in the doors, and Navy SEALs with scuba gear popping out of the toilets and shower drains the same morning.

No, the Democratik People's Republik of Kalifornistan is going to smirk and defy the law openly. Merrick Garland is going to smirk and keep on talking about how the biggest threat to America is all you huh-WITE! people in Flyover Country with your guns and your religion. And circuit courts full of judges Obama appointed are going to smirk and kick the cases back and forth on technicalities and procedural grounds as long as they can, waiting for Thomas and Alito to die of old age and be replaced by Neomi Rao and Eric Swalwell. Or maybe the Democrats will get impatient and add another dozen justices to the court, all hand-picked and vetted by the DNC, the ACLU, and the Brady Campaign.

The System is not going to fix the System. We are not voting our way out of this. Take this to heart. Make your peace with it. Harden your heart, because things are only going to get worse.
