Dem negotiator in Senate gun violence talks says no age increase on AR-15-style rifles

Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, a top Democrat negotiator in the bipartisan Senate effort to pass gun-control legislation after two recent mass shootings, says raising the federal age to 21 to buy AR-15-style semi-automatic rifles is now off the table.

  1. In order to get the ten GOPe squish votes needed for passage, Murphy made a deal. As I understand it, stronger red flag laws. Waiting period for under 21 to "check" their social media and look for other mental health issues.

Unfortunately, one of my senators is on board. If I said I was from SC, can you guess which one?

  2. They need to remove the red flag provisions. That is a vehicle for flat out confiscation on nothing more than a complaint by someone who wishes you ill.

  3. If they Keep the red flag provisions which are unconstitutional. BUT since when has that stopped Libtards. The following changes MUST be incorporated. A hearing in front of a judge BEFORE LEO'S set foot on the property of the person being filed on. A court appointed attorney (free) for the person being filed on. The judge signs a bond along with the person making the accusation liable for any damage or loss for 100 times the current retail prices of all items confiscated. . The property MUST be returned within 1 hour of the Confiscation order being reversed or running out. the Confiscation order can only be for 3 days at a time including weekends, Make it more egregious .for the person filing the order than for the accused.
