    1. Fix: cheapest brand hairspray disappears it before your eyes. Ditto shirt pockets.

    1. Thanks. It looked a lot more sinister than a clothes dryer.

    1. You too? I ran mine through with a load of light colored work shirts.
Fuck it, I wore them anyway. Nice conversation starter.

    2. Hairspray will get the ink out. Even after going through the dryer.

    3. SDH - out of the dryer drum? I tried that along with all the new miracle cleaners and abrasives that my ex went down and bought. I ended up using sandpaper to get that shit out. I should've done that to begin with instead of wasting 4 hours.

    4. I did it with a paint stick from marking steel beams during inventory.

Dark blue crayons don't come out of the dryer.

    5. Out of shirts. I suppose it would work on the dryer drum as well. Acetone would probably work too.
When I first started working we wore tan shirts. I had a bad habit of putting my pen back in my pocket without the cap. One of the girls told me to use hairspray to get it out. Works better than anything else I've seen.

  8. Took me a second to figure out #7 - clothes dryer with leaky pen. Great.

  9. I think my universal, stock answer for almost anything from now on, is going to be "ink pen in a dryer".

  12. or the other #7, putting an uncapped pen with blue liquid ink in your shirt pocket

ruined several shirts making that mistake over a 40+ year career.

  13. #1 happened to my next door neighbor during the October snowstorm in 2011. Not only did one part of the branch pierce his windshield, one end put a nice crease in the roof of his truck, the other end creamed the hood. He also had water damage to the interior, as the branch stub that pierced the windshield leaked a whole bunch of melting snow into the interior.

  14. If your ink pen gets wet, put it on a windowsill- in the sun. It will dry out just fine.

    1. I figured I was going to get questions about it and meant to post the explanation with the picture, but forgot - until people started asking about it.
I can't bitch about being reminded.

    3. FYI, acetone usually works for ink. Use sparingly, can also remove some paints.
