When our Romanian born daughter's adoption was finalized, she took the oath and received her citizenship from a superior court judge. He told us proceedings like that were his favorite part of the job.
Reminds me of the day, almost 50 years ago, that I adopted my stepdaughter. A couple of weeks later she asked, "Is it ok if I call you Daddy?" I lost it...
God bless the adoptive mother!!! What a wonderful present for the little girl...!!!
