Now they'll be wanting a 10 day 'cooling down' period

The gunman who shot and killed four people in a hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, before taking his own life had been a back surgery patient determined to kill his surgeon over lingering pain and had legally bought the assault rifle he used in the shooting less than three hours prior to the tragedy.

  1. I wanted to kill my back surgeon after 3 surgeries that didn't work too, but I sued him instead.

  2. So the bastards will just wait 10 days before going on a shooting spree......

  3. I had two successful back surgeries. The first few weeks were not easy, but recovery takes time. I do understand though that these days everybody is entitled to instant gratification. They think they are.

    1. Nothing grates me more than advertisements that say 'you deserve' (cars) or 'you're entitled' (government benefits).

No, you don't and no, you're not.

  6. I had surgery on my back a little over 2 weeks ago and had a follow-up visit with the surgeon Tuesday. He noticed my empty holster and we spent the next 20 minutes talking about which is better, my SIG or his Glock. He let me know as I was leaving that he wouldn't charge me for the appointment.

    1. He can't charge you for the appt because it's considered part of the "global" surgery fee. For major surgeries, lasts up to 90 days post-op.

  7. Besides himself he killed one black and three whites. I guess no other blacks were working that day?

  8. When you choose a surgeon, the equal opportunity hire is probably not the best criteria.
Especially if you are a member of a race with known anger management issues.

    1. I would absolutely avoid the affirmative action hire. They might be highly qualified. But anymore you have to assume an underqualified candidate got the job in these cases.

  9. 10 days to plan something out will definitely yield better results.

  10. Do you have to declare the day you are going to shoot someone and wait 10 days after that?

  11. If you wanted to discretely enter a hospital and get close to a surgeon, would you use a rifle or a concealable handgun? I think the guy's pain meds were making him stupid.

  12. Yesterday there were at least 4 articles in the Daily Mail about this shooting. Today there are none. Oh wait, the shooter is black. Never mind!

  13. After having hernia repair mesh chafe on nerve bundle for ten years, I understand shooter's frustration. But the problem was not his surgeon. The problem is with worthless government bureaucrats who decided too many useless loser junkies were dying of opioid overdoses. So what does the government do? Why, they declare war on Pain Specialists! Mexico and China just laughed.

  14. My wifes back surgeon is now in prison for life.
