Veteran Recalls the Horrors of D-Day

WWII Veteran Sherwin Callander’s grisly experience in the aftermath of Pearl Harbor lead him to transfer to amphibious training. He had no idea that this decision would find him heading straight into the largest invasion of the Second World War.

  4. I have seen all the shows we have all seen about WW2. Watchin one now as a matternof fact.

    I Honestly…Just Can Not Even Phathom in the smallest way…what that Generation went threw and had too do.

    It will never happen again.
    Men like that are 1 in every 250,000 now.
    America is Weak beyond what any of us realize.

    1. The Greatest Generation had been tempered by hard times, aka, The Great Depression. The Biden Depression will harden up the current crop or starve them out.

  5. Lots of people don't watch stuff like this. They are too busy or not interested. I think people need to take the time to see and listen to these men. Maybe after watching they will understand why they have the freedoms they have today. These brave Americans are the only reason we live in the greatest country that has ever been, period.

  6. The Invasion of Normandy -June 6th 1944 - was the largest amphibious landing ever undertaken up to that time, and the largest and arguably the most-complex military operation ever attempted. However, the size/scope of the Normandy landings was surpassed later on during the war in the Pacific, with the invasion of Okinawa on 1 April 1945. Humble gratitude to all of those great men, they were giants.
