What the fuck is a 'fully automatic firearm round'?

According to a report by Breitbart, the Internal Revenue Service has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars buying ammunition, raising concern about why a government agency is buying ammunition that the administration plans to restrict further in the coming months.

On Saturday, Congressman Matt Gaetz told Breitbart that the IRS spent approximately $700,000 “between March and June 1” purchasing ammunition.

  1. You know, as far as Federal agencies go, I can see WHY the IRS needs guns and ammo. They piss off a lot of people.

  4. The larger question here is WTF is the IRS doing buying ammo?

So, a bunch of clerks who work with numbers, all day every day, need protection from whom? Ever go to an IRS office? They have armed guards at the door, which is locked from the inside and is more like a vault door at a bank. From the door security, one might think they were guarding real money inside, instead of ones & zero's.

    1. During the Soetoro years, terms 1 and 2, Federal agencies with seemingly no need for any of that were buying it up. It continues into the third term.

    3. I remember that same thing. They were buying it for agencies like the Agency for Economic Development, the FDA, the Dept. of Education, etc. All departments that had no valid reason to even possess guns as part of their mission.
And they were not just buying a few hundred rounds for each agent, but they were buying literally billions, with a B, that is right, billions of rounds of ammo, plus new firearms to go to all of this new agencies that never had the need for weapons before.
I wonder how many of those guns are still in service. Or even still in the building where they were delivered to, for that matter. No doubt at least a couple gun guys took advantage of the people who never had been around guns, and carted home at least one new, top of the line AR-15. Because you know that Uncle Sam only buys the best for civilians. They can always refurbish the old ones and ship them out to the field.

  5. Oh Goody!! That means that when they admitted to resticting all Americans from being able to exercize their Second Amendment Rights, by buying up all of the ammunition, that they open themselves up to being prosecuted in each and every court of law in this Republic!
It isn't about "automatic" anything, it is about denying Americans their ability to defend themselves by denying the availability of ammunition!

  6. In that report, the GAO was classifying by the type of firearm for which it is intended.

Of greater significance to me is that the National Institutes of Health not only have a police department, but declined to reveal much firearms and ammunition they've stockpiled.

  9. Why are the Feds buying so much ammo?
If they buy it, they plan to use it.

  10. Can I get a tax refund in ammo then? If I would even get one. If it is a good enough deal I may increase withholding like an ammo savings account. Call it a 401(a)
