Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the WHO’s director general, announced Tuesday morning that the organization is “working with partners and experts from around the world on changing the name of monkeypox virus, its clades and the disease it causes.” He said the WHO will make announcements about the new names as soon as possible.

I don't know of a single person that associates monkeypox with blacks - everybody I know associates it with perverse sexual activity seeing as it's spread through homosexual contact.
But the headline does beg the question: How much longer until they decide to change the name 'monkey' to something else because it's supposedly racist?
