Finally - a smart criminal

A man who had just walked out of a bank in Sherman Oaks Tuesday was robbed of $10,000 in a caught-on-video scuffle.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of a Wells Fargo along the 14600 block of Ventura Boulevard around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Why risk robbing a bank and doing federal time when you can rob a customer leaving the bank and know you're probably going to be released on your own recognizance and then have the charges dropped thanks to Saint Gavin?

  1. Maybe someone should check the phone records of bank tellers?

  2. Who withdraws 10k in cash nowadays? And how did they know he was going to be doing that?

  3. This is one of those 'got to be more to the story' ones...How many people pull $10k in cash out on any given day at a bank? And since they seemed to be waiting specifically for him, how did they know he was pulling a bunch out? Something stinks about the story...

  4. In Mexico, the TELLERS are often in on the game! They hand the customer his money, and then call someone outside to alert him that the mark is on his way out! Very common down there! ...Given the number of illegal aliens streaming across our border, it'll probably be very common here too before long...

  6. know one withdraws 10 grand at one because that sets off the Fed to confiscate the money.

  7. I pulled $15k out to test my credit union to see if they would have me sign the federal form. They didn’t. I didn’t tell anyone beforehand either.
