Here's the video of Quick Draw McGraw shooting his partner

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office has released more details about the incident that led to one deputy shooting his partner on July 5.

On Thursday, body camera footage was released showing the incident in more detail. Deputy Lydia Driver was called out along with several other officers to a home on Brickyard Road to serve a warrant. Two of those officers had gone around to the side of the home when a dog rushed at them from off in the dark. The sheriff’s office says Deputy Jordan Hurst was trying to shoot the dog but missed, hitting Driver instead.

With that dog on top of her like that, I'd be surprised if she hadn't gotten shot.

  1. When it comes to stupid with a badge gun combo this story does not disappoint.

    1. Totally agree my friend. Pop O never seem to disappoint. You know the blue stripe that appear on the America flag stands for stupidity just like a yellow stripe stands for cowardice.

  2. I went to watch the video but it was too dark. I noticed another story about a bomb that turned out to be a sex toy. Did a bunch of people from Florida move to Tennessee?

  3. The officer who fired the weapon should have been quarrantined in a kennel next to the dog for ten days also.

  7. Again......
What good reason is there to serve an arrest warrant......
at 11 pm for “identity theft and forgery charges”....two non-violent non-felonies.....
in the middle of the night......without any recon....????
    Brilliant po-po work.....simply brilliant.

    1. That was my first thought. Serving warrants in the night for routine crimes seems designed to create problems.

  8. I'd rather fight off the dog than let Barney Fife start throwing rounds at me. WTH was he thinking???

I'd likely get up and return fire!

  9. Accidentally and negligently have two different meanings. They are not interchangable. Need to start using the correct word in these stories.

  10. Taking dog bites is less damage than taking a gunshot to the leg.

And that dog was small. She could have kicked it into next Tuesday. Or beat it to death with her equipment. It should not have been able to knock her down. She panicked and tripped.

I hope she recovers from her injuries.

And her partner was an idiot, He never had a workable shot; he was dammed lucky he did not kill her. He should have been the one moving in to kick the dog into next Tuesday. Very poor decisions under stress. Firing level poor.
