  1. Not even enough range for a round trip to work.

  3. If forced to have an electric vehicle, my first choice would be a Canberra and my second choice would be a lightning. I know it only has a range of 155 miles (combat), but at a speed of Mach 2+? Yeah. The Canberra otoh is slower but can get you a bit further.

  4. A five minute comparison squeezed into a twenty two minute video. It was more commercial for the trucks than a real head to head comparison of towing power and range.

  5. As expected, the electric truck is good for basically nothing. Hell, I even get better mileage out of my 75 Chevy Van than they got out of that gas rig. Can’t wait to see how far that battery would take me at -40…. ain’t no way I’m ever buying electric.

  6. If the govt gets their way we'll all be without natural gas and without ICE vehicles sooner than later- all reliant on electricity to keep our society going. of course, the electricity is only as clean as the source its being generated from (burning coal, etc) and this is assuming the infrastructure will be able to handle everybody charging their vehicles, running their electric stoves (restaurants and mfg too) electric dryers, too without crashing or requiring blackouts to ease the strain. and if/ when we don't have enough electricity for everybody then it'll either be only for the rich or elite who are rationed or can afford it. good times ahead.

    1. absolutly correct.
right now it cost about(if you do the math from figures provided in the vid) about half as much to run the EV, but it takes over twice as long to get there. that is with $5/gal gas and $27/ 3/4 charge electricity.
what happens when gas drops to $3.50(hey, it could happen) and electricity prices double?? then it will still take twice as long to get there, but it won't be any cheaper, and you won't be able to afford to run your home A/C.

  8. Another thing they are not being honest about is the cost of replacing the battery, both economically and environmentally.

  9. EV charging stations are 25-50% kaput at any given time, too.
