New Survey Reveals Significant Doubts About Masks And Vaccines

Asked to look back at the pandemic and assess public health recommendations aimed at limiting Covid-19 spread, only about half of Americans now think masks and vaccines have been very effective or extremely effective.

That's the finding of a new Pew Research survey of more than 10,000 adults, which provides insights into Americans' thinking about many aspects of the pandemic.

Only 48% think "wearing masks around other people indoors" has been extremely or very effective; 23% give masks a lukewarm "somewhat effective" grade. Defying two years of public health preaching, 28% say they're either "not too" or "not at all effective."

And the we have this:

NEW YORK - The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is recommending all New Yorkers wear masks in certain settings, again, in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19.

With the number of cases rising, the Health Dept. posted a tweet Friday encouraging everyone in public settings and in crowded outdoor places to wear a mask.

  2. We still have a number of mask addicts on the campus where I work. They'll have their masks down around their chins. When they walk by me, OUSIDE, they adjust it properly... I remember a MEME of Linus holding a mask instead of his blanket... Yeah... It's like that...

  5. If they're trying to kill people, duct tape polls much better than surgical masks.

  6. Masks and vaccines have their place. But not the way they were used for the last two years. Anybody with any training on masks/respirators knew that, plus anybody with any knowledge of virology, clean-room techniques or haz-mat knew it wasn't adding up. I had a very jaundiced view of most of the medical community before The Great Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020. Their continued stupidity is not helping my confidence in their skills or community.

    1. It's not all just stupidity. Some of them would rather give you a shot than do the right thing. How about that Remdisivir? Gotta keep that paycheck coming in. F' em. I've worked at two major hospitals and didn't have much respect for 'Doctors' before Covid. I have almost no respect whatsoever now.

Take the jab - it's good for you. Gotta make my high dollar mortgage next month. Hope it doesn't screw you up too bad although I know it probably will long term.

  7. Months ago the CDC stated that masks do not stop the spread of the coronavirus. When asked what are the masks do, Rachel said, "They MIGHT help you be less sick." There has been an enormous increase of myocarditis among babies and young males who got vaccinated. Myocarditis was previously very very rare. Look up the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System

The wife & I just got over Covid. Took about 17 days start to pretty much over. It was bad enough we went to Urgent Care on the 2nd day. The kid who was playing doctor gave us a script for a "Z-pack" but at least he did that, I added Ivermectin in paste form, plus the stuff we take daily anyway, such as D3, NAC, C, and Zinc. At nite we added cough syrup with a sleepy agent. Wife had a real sore throat, mine wasn't as sore.
Got lots of sleep and now we have immunity....and we're still purebloods..hooray!

  10. If masks worked ... why do the manufacturer's say right on the box that they don't?

If masks worked ... why aren't used masks that captured the virus treated as bio-hazard?

  11. Ring your local fire dept and ask them if your average face mask is effective against smoke particles. "Nope" will be the reply. Now, your average smoke particle is 100x the size of your Covid particle, so if your mask doesn't stop a baseball it won't stop a small marble...

  12. What Zombiedawg said. Last fall the CDC said stay indoors when wildfires were about. Masks don't work.
