Inflation is causing food prices to skyrocket, and further price increases are forecast for the next three months. This was the result of a survey by the ifo Institute, as reported by ARD. More and more people can no longer afford these horrendous prices and are driven to desperate acts with the number of thefts increasing.
Supermarkets have been taking countermeasures – with anti-theft devices.

I guess these things will continue happening if the American government is colluding with the Putin to create an artificial shortage in oil and natural gas, driving prices world wide through the roof when Putin invades a country in Europe. Well planned.
ReplyDeletePutin has nothing to do with it.

When you deliberately cripple food production, food inflation will result. This isn't rocket science. They people doing it know damn well what they are doing.

Tut tut! That's amateur league stuff.
ReplyDeleteIn the UK, supermarkets serial number their meat packages. Why?
Well, there is a way toget your groceries half price. You need a team ofthree people. Two pick up the trollies, and go around the supermarket together. They put identical items in thei trolley.
One of them then checks out, pays for the goods and gets a receipt. He then leaves the store, hands over the trolley of goods to the third team member, goes back into the store, and takes the second, unpaid trolley from the other guy.
he then picks up ONE item, goes back to the chckout, presents the billand clains that he re-entered the store for the forgotten item. Naturally, the items check out against the receipt.
So British supermarkets serial number (say) a one pund pack of ground beef 1234, a second identical weight pack serial number 1235 so that thy can show that the two trolleys are not the same.
It took the supermarkets a whileto puzzle that trick out.

Definitely not the southern U.S. Here it would be Flamin' Cheetos and Mountain Dew.
