Following our tutorial on how to mount an optic to your rifle, we're moving on to how to sight in or zero your optic. This is a basic step-by-step walkthrough of the process that covers everything you need to know to get a good starting zero once your optic is mounted. The demo rifle is a Bravo Company AR-15 with a Swamp Fox Arrowhead 1-10x24 scope, but the instructions should work regardless of what rifle or optic you're using.

ReplyDeleteI've been good ever since a little old lady showed me how to do it with three shots and a bench rest.
ReplyDeleteYep. You don't need to know anything - MOA, MRAD, click values, none of that crap. All you need is a rock solid rest and an assistant really helps. You can do it by yourself if you have to but having someone else there to turn the knobs makes it really easy.

Your zero’s gonna change. 100 -250 rds in, Yer guns most likely gonna speed up.
