It's what men do

  1. This should be on national TV repeated hourly. Very few people have a clue just what it takes to keep everything running and how much goes into fixing the everyday breakdowns and glitches. And they damn sure do not express appreciation to those who keep it all going.

  2. Its a sign, of their intent.
What this video talks about, what he says, its just how it is, it is the natural way of things. Theres no coersion needed, we men are wired that way.
But today they talk about toxic masculinity. Toxic?!?! The very INVERSION of truth, is how you know it IS the work of the devil himself.

  3. Maybe apply equality and equity? Even if for a few days? Probably won't help but would be fun to watch....

    1. Back in the early 70's I knew a couple of young women that were all women's lib and shit. Well, they went to a local construction site with the "anything men can do, women can do" attitude to the job super. So the super hires them and puts them in the bottom of a hole with a dump truck parked next to it, gives them each a shovel, and tells them to fill the truck. Around noon a guy comes up to them and says the super told me to take you girls home. I don't think to this day that they realize that they had been played. Funny as shit.

  4. Men made this world, by their thoughts and deeds. The world has gone to shit since women got the vote. Sorry if this offends, but it is demonstrably true, in my NOT SO humble opinion. Never had a woman boss that could understand complex issues and make hard, rational decisions. The current wokeness is a direct result of the feminization of our culture.

    1. No, its very not politically correct to say, but...
There is a place for softer and gentler, humans need a man and a womans influence. But you are right, MEN built this world, men being men, acting like men, doing man things. Woman has nurtured, and grown, and taken care of EVERYTHING else in this world, so that man can conquer and build it. This is the natural way. Man and woman are yin and yang, the light and the heavy, the two halves that make a whole. This push from segments of our society are so antithetical to nature, its a wonder they have any adherents and followers at all.

    2. Yes, we wouldn't have our Big Sister nanny nation without the female vote and their never-ending desire for safety.

    3. Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

    5. Not to take issue with you comments, but just a reminder that the hard working women employed in manufacturing and piloting aircraft for testing and delivery during WWII contributed greatly to our victory and saving all of our butts.

  12. It isn't just men that are taken for granted, the entire infrastructure that provides everything that makes life comfortable is just expected to be there, particularly by green types. People who have never worked in manufacturing or logistics who have no idea where all the stuff in the shops comes from or how it gets there.

As an aside, I used to comment here as Stonyground, I have suddenly become anonymous. I tried editing my profile but I couldn't get it to work.

  15. I’m a blessed small business owner, and at 64 I’ve about beat my body to death. LOL, now I’m building a walkway to the water. I’m about 10ft angled to 16ft. All by myself, can’t find any help. Been looking for a year and a half. Now in my retirement years the illegitimate Presidency says they will take everything I’ve worked for. I’ve worked to hard to have everything I’ve paid for taken away by government that doesn’t represent me any longer. What an ending that awaits me. How blessed We are to be Americans, try his brought tears to my eyes.

    1. Alex, I have owned and operated a marine electronics company for over forty years. I was always a "one man band". Over the last four years I attempted to find someone that I could work with, mentor and eventually give them the business. I interview five people that had potential, they could work their schedule and go full time when they felt comfortable. I am still working alone and will close the business and sell the inventory on ebay. It's a different world from when I started my trade....

  17. I worked in a factory that made steel for remelt. Once, when we were hiring, they decided to let women apply. They hired a couple of women. The first shift when a woman started, she lasted around 4 hours, when she ended up breaking her leg. She was tearing down a rack of pipes, that were filled with metal, standing up in a semi circle on a rack. Instead of dropping them on the floor, like a man would do it, she somehow got her leg under it, and since it weighed over 500 pounds, it did a bang up job on her leg.
The other woman was not even allowed to start her shift, before being told she was fired. The company had learned their lesson.

  18. The Sons of Mary seldom bother, for they have inherited that good part;
But the Sons of Martha favour their Mother of the careful soul and the troubled heart.
And because she lost her temper once, and because she was rude to the Lord her Guest,
Her Sons must wait upon Mary's Sons, world without end, reprieve, or rest.

It is their care in all the ages to take the buffet and cushion the shock.
It is their care that the gear engages; it is their care that the switches lock.
It is their care that the wheels run truly; it is their care to embark and entrain,
Tally, transport, and deliver duly the Sons of Mary by land and main.

They say to mountains ``Be ye removèd.'' They say to the lesser floods ``Be dry.''
Under their rods are the rocks reprovèd---they are not afraid of that which is high.
Then do the hill-tops shake to the summit---then is the bed of the deep laid bare,
That the Sons of Mary may overcome it, pleasantly sleeping and unaware.

They finger Death at their gloves' end where they piece and repiece the living wires.
He rears against the gates they tend: they feed him hungry behind their fires.
Early at dawn, ere men see clear, they stumble into his terrible stall,
And hale him forth like a haltered steer, and goad and turn him till evenfall.

To these from birth is Belief forbidden; from these till death is Relief afar.
They are concerned with matters hidden---under the earthline their altars are---
The secret fountains to follow up, waters withdrawn to restore to the mouth,
And gather the floods as in a cup, and pour them again at a city's drouth.

They do not preach that their God will rouse them a little before the nuts work loose.
They do not preach that His Pity allows them to drop their job when they damn-well choose.
As in the thronged and the lighted ways, so in the dark and the desert they stand,
Wary and watchful all their days that their brethren's ways may be long in the land.

    Raise ye the stone or cleave the wood to make a path more fair or flat;
Lo, it is black already with the blood some Son of Martha spilled for that!
Not as a ladder from earth to Heaven, not as a witness to any creed,
But simple service simply given to his own kind in their common need.

And the Sons of Mary smile and are blessèd---they know the Angels are on their side.
They know in them is the Grace confessèd, and for them are the Mercies multiplied.
They sit at the feet---they hear the Word---they see how truly the Promise runs.
They have cast their burden upon the Lord, and---the Lord He lays it on Martha's Sons!

  19. Imagine if you will, all of these men, doing "men jobs", giving the finger to .gov and their employers, and saying "when it breaks, you fix it".

I give it about a week, two at the outside, before the infrastructure that enables modern life; electric power and water, crashes to the ground. This is how Leviathan gets beaten.

Sure, there will be a bunch of pissed off citizens and some may die as a result of failed infrastructure. However none of the pissed off will know how to fix what's broken and neither will the managers, let alone .gov.

It's a pity that these men doing men jobs don't know what power they have.

  20. I spent almost 30 years in a tire factory. Some jobs we did people are even scared to watch us do them. Running a rubber Mill breaking down slabs of rubber look like you had the potential to be run through a ringer at any second. Almost impossible but not out of the question. We would do it happily everyday.

  21. I'm now 73, spent most of my life working construction, mainly as a carpenter. My body is now for the most part, worn out and shot to hell, we are a machine, we wear out. But I can still help my recently widowed oldest Daughter keep up her five acres. She needlessly tells me to slow down, because she never saw me on a job site back in the day and thinks I'm going at it too hard, which by my old standard ain't even close. I tell her if I croak while doing for my family, I'll die happy. And don't feel bad about it, it beats sitting in a nursing home pissin myself. Because that's what a MAN does and is how we keep shit going. So, God Bless my Working Brothers and the Women who take care of and support us.
