Yue “Emily” Yu, 45, was arrested Thursday by Irvine Police after her husband told authorities earlier that day that he'd begun to suspect his wife was poisoning him when he started to feel sick over the course of a month-long period this summer, according a police statement obtained by Oxygen.com.
What I find head-scratching is that in this case and say the perp in the recent attack on Salman Rushdie, despite clear evidence they did what they are accused of, they plead n court 'not guilty'. Is this a ploy to game the adjudication of their cases?
ReplyDeleteWho ya gonna believe, me or your lying eyes?
DeleteIt may be a decision by their attorney to delay the sentencing portion of their trial until the initial horror reaction to their crimes has had time to fade after more news of other horrible acts.
DeleteA guilty plea skips the trial and is a open admission that all the charges are valid and proper. You go directly to sentencing with no opportunity for the usual jiggery-pokery involved with a high profile trial. No opportunity to argue mitigating circumstances, temporary insanity, no prior history of criminal behavior, etc. Just go to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200.
ReplyDeleteOne look at her, if she was my wife I might just drink the Drano anyway.
