    #5: That's why back in the 1950s my friends and I used to park our cars on hills even if it was a 1/2 mile from our houses. Who the hell could afford $8 for a Sears battery?

    #5 I remember having to coast down a forestry road with an automatic to get up enough speed and hoping the motor kicked in before we got to the 90 degree bend at the bottom. Fun times.

      If you are from Nelson BC, that means about two hundred feet of road. Mind you, if you miss the corner, your vehicle will stop in the lake.

    #5 I've lived it ! Stuff like that "Builds Caricature" .I have had to drop the clutch to start a whole fleet of beaters . Cars , trucks motorcycles , tractors the only thing I haven't been able to bump start is a boat .
