Well, they weren't very good at commando-ing then, were they?
Three Dutch commandos were wounded in a shooting in Indianapolis' entertainment district around 3.30am on Saturday morning.
At least two of the soldiers were in critical condition following the attack, according to a Dutch Ministry of Defense spokesperson who was speaking to NL Times.
the problem is, they thought they where in a "safe area" and more than likely shitfaced. cross training was always a big thing in the army, I trained with a lot of other countries soldiers in the past. brits, frogs ,danes and god knows who else over the years with sam. the only good thing I remember from a really hard brit school up in Scotland was on the weekends, the RSM used to pack us on a bus and we tour the local dew shops until we where poured back on the bus to go back. I remember lots of shinny copper stills and not much else.
I did attached duty with a Canadian arty unit once. It was pretty cool being woke up by a full colonel saying "Here sarge, have some coffee." He'd give me half a canteen cup of coffee, then top it off with Navy rum. He told me everyone got a daily ration. ~Unclezip
Probably here to train at Camp Atterberry, which has built urban warfare training villages. On the street at 03:30, they were probably drunk, bright white, and everyone else on the streets at those times are "urban youths", who likely have "prior incidents of contact with the justice system." Whatever happened to billeting on post for a temporary duty? Why pay for transAtlantic air travel and rooms at the Hampton Inn? There are "MOUT" urban training villages all over the US at various military bases besides Camp Atterbury.. They have them in Europe too, So why send them here? Just what exactly is this urban training we are providing and why is it so important that Euro troops need to come here to take it? It makes no sense. Any country that goes through the bother of having elite units and letting them have commando insignia will have their own mockup training locations. The training is described as anti-terrorist in nature, which is another thing entirely from what US doctrine used to describe as MOUT, nothing more then conventional combat in urban areas. I'm a little uneasy with foreign commandoes coming here to do anti terrorist training in the Heartland at the same time the Biden Regime is calling all of us "terrorists" and "fascists" and toying with the idea of rounding us up. It may just be a coincidence that there is a farmer's revolt in progress in Holland that is springing from Dutch Government and International efforts to eradicate farmers, get them off of their land, and shut down food production. I don't know for certain what this training program is all about or who and how many foreign armies or even USGOV employees might be involved, but I don't like it and i'm sure it is not good for us. In that light and given my suspicions that this is really directed at us or possibly innocent Dutch civilians, I'm glad these commandos had a warm welcome from the urban blight. Perhaps the word will get back to the rest of the NATO police corps that it is not healthy for them over here.
They were in Indianpolis. Might as well be chicago. They dont realize the rules of engagement are they can shoot you but you cannot shoot them. I dont think the dutch were trained on how to act in the city vs 10 miles outside the city. Someone on the dutch side fucked up and did not prep them for urban warfare.

Haha....I used to drive a transit bus on Camp Pendelton at night. Many times I had to stop the bus so the Marines could leak the lizard....

"The group is training at a facility designed to teach urban combat. ".
ReplyDeleteI bet you though that they are not allowed to carry a butter knife. Even in combat.
No description of the shooter/shooters despite numerous witnesses. I guess it would be too easy to play guess the race, huh?
ReplyDeleteSadly, your guess would be correct.....
Delete0330 - Commando-style
ReplyDeleteDid they go commando-style?
ReplyDeleteYup, they left their boxer shorts in their hotel rooms with the Amsterdam hookers they brung with 'em.

Kenny, your lead-in Title was accurate, and fucking hilarious. You haven't missed a beat.
ReplyDeleteHard to run away from the bad guys when you're wearing wooden shoes.
ReplyDeleteWinner..

ReplyDeleteI see they got an up close and personal look at urban America.

As realistic as training gets.
