We've devolved from a Republic to South American shithole politics

Trump Raid Deathblow to Democracy

Last month, legendary financial and geopolitical cycle analyst Martin Armstrong said the time to prepare is now for the chaos that is coming in 2023. The destabilization of America has been kicked into high gear early with the FBI raid on President Trump’s Florida home this week.
Armstrong explains, “This really is unprecedented . . . . In the United States, we are supposed to have civilized transfer of power.  That’s all coming to an end.  I am not being dramatic here.  From a legal perspective, this is completely unprecedented.  The danger of this is once they have done this, if the Republicans are ever allowed to get back into power, they would only end up doing the same thing to the Democrats. . . . It’s striking a real deathblow to the very idea of a democracy.  We are not, at least we were not until today, someplace like Guatemala where you throw the opposition in jail, kill them or whatever you do.  This is what’s going on.  They are so afraid of Trump running in 2024 that this is just over the top.  Once they did this, there is no end.”

Now the FBI subpoenas Republican state lawmakers for information on Rep. Scott Perry

The FBI paid visits to multiple Republicans in the Pennsylvania House and Senate Wednesday to look for information on Republican U.S. Rep. Scott Perry and his scheme to install alternate electors in 2020, according to a report.

The bureau delivered subpoenas and sought information from multiple individuals, sources told PennLive, after his phone was confiscated by agents while he was at an airport with his family and after Mar-a-Lago was raided.

Some were explicitly told they were not the target of the investigation, the report states, and it seems the bureau was looking for the GOP members to assist their investigation.

  3. You know the real bullshit of this whole thing? The right, and a very large number of those on the left, are missed off about this horrible invasion of privacy, especially of a private citizen.
If the DOJ had only gone after the people who murdered Lavoy Finicum, Ashley Babbitt, Randy Weaver's family members, the Christian group at Waco.
There are dozens of other people who have runs afoul of Big Brother, and while it might be that stopping all wars would be a good thing, the fact will remain that America is a nation founded in principles of simply,in part to fuel our robust and ever more greedy for more energy, economy.
It is like going to borrow a bicycle from your friend, then selling it and keeping the money. When the friends ask for the bicycle back, you tell him that you sold it and have the money, to poor people, who needed. It more than your friend.

  4. "Some were explicitly told they were not the target of the investigation..."

LE is allowed by previous court decisions to lie to people being interviewed in an investigation. If YOU lie to law enforcement, this is a felony. Ask Martha Stewart.

    1. I think the Clintons played this correctly. Almost all questions are answered with "I do not recall..."

  5. I will disagree with this part of his article "... if the Republicans are ever allowed to get back into power, they would only end up doing the same thing to the Democrats. "
Bullshit, the freckles Rs are too nice and tend to play by the rules and I cannot recall them EVER going after the other side with anything close to the zeal the Ds do!
