What???!!! No electric car?

AUBURN, Calif. — A man in Auburn won the largest scratcher cash prize in California Lottery History.

The California Lottery in a release said on Tuesday that a man named Chad Fry bought a Set for Life Millionaire Edition ticket at the Foothill Market. He put in for that $30 ticket, splurging on the ticket after being paid for a construction job.

His plans remind me of the time I was driving home from work with my ridesharing partner Tio, and he asked me what I would do if I ever won big on the lottery.
I thought about it long and hard before finally answering, "I don't know, man. Maybe paint my truck?"
I thought Tio was going to die laughing.

  1. Friend of mine was asked the same question about the 40 million lottery at the time. He said, "I'll buy 40 acres and put a double-wide right in the middle of it."

    Aim high, buddy!

    1. That's actually pretty high. A good double-wide is all you'd every want on a 40 acre plot, if you can defend it from fire. If you can afford more, get more land, or better land, with water , resources, and defensibility, and good neighbors. (all that's gonna cost)

  2. I'd buy a nice restored mid 70's 4x4 Ford F-250 with the right Cummins diesel conversion. I could probably think of something else also. Tree Mike

  3. A girl I went to school with won 15 million (before taxes) and blew it all. Literally the first thing she bought was a double-wide trailer.

  4. Now he can afford to leave California.

I'd set a couple of family members up for life (that is as long as they don't act like retards with the money) and just disappear. Live off the interest and maybe give money to people who deserve some, but never those who demand it.

I spend way too much time thinking about this scenario.
