Who in the fuck would want to be taken for an FBI agent these days?

An aide to a congressman impersonated an FBI agent and openly carried a gun, violating the law in Washington, according to court documents.

Sterling Carter, who worked for Rep. Brad Schneider (D-Ill.) at the time, was spotted on Nov. 14, 2020, wearing a black shirt with “Federal Agent” emblazoned across the front and back, and equipped with a full police duty belt that contained handcuffs, a pistol, two magazines, and a radio with an earpiece, according to an affidavit filed by U.S. authorities in District of Columbia court.

  1. Well, you or I wouldn't, but a politician's aide named Sterling probably lives for this kind of fantasy...

  2. I second anonymous (3:53) thought.....these folks are so lacking in maleness; they pick a male role model and try to emulate that. It's a "wood" thing...with a happy ending....

  3. I believe it was Groucho Marx who once quipped that he'd never join a club that would have him as a member. And yeah, Sterling. Why am I not surpsied?

  6. ". . . eventually confirmed him as Carter through contact with the seller of the t-shirt and the company from which he obtained a custom license plate."

  8. I noticed in the story that Carter embezzled $80,000 from the staff office of the Congressman. That is probably why he did not skate on the other charges.

He did go to jail for a short period of time and got a very short probation. Perhaps he can get elected as a Congressman,
