  2. Who put the bright idea in her head to sue for lack of consent for conception, and what court actually heard the case?

    1. My first thought was: "And there was a judge who actually let this case proceed?"

  5. That *some* Judge agreed with her in the first place...words fail me. BUT: that *IS* an accurate representation of the judicial system today (speaking from experience)...

  6. Have raised 3 and they are all on there own. Supported them until 18 and they took it on themselves to move on. 5000 a month expenses? Must be on crack or something. Get skills and get a job. What a bitch.

  13. Here's clue honey. My Dad, the Monday after my Saturday graduation from High School, came into my room at 6:30AM, Ripped the covers off of my and said "Go find a job. Don't come home until you have one." I started work the next day in a shoe factory. Could have started the next day on a construction job, also.

    2. You laid on your ass until graduation?
I, and everyone I knew at the time, was working from age 15 or 16.
What, Daddy paid you an "allowance" until you graduated? LOL

  17. I walked out of school at the end of the year, I was fifteen. I had a job lined up and the next morn grabbed my homelite and headed into the woods. Working usually seven days a week daylight until dark. Joined the Corp and landed in Nam one month after my 19 birthday. Later got my GED and went to college at 26. It sure has been a good life and a rewarding one.

    1. I had a friend whose daughter went to college and became Luke. They were okay with it. To myself I was wondering who was fucking up her brain. You just dont pick a name and change sexes out of midair. I think I would have found that person in an alley.

  21. I've been hustling since I was single digits. Shoveling snow in the winters(Chicago), paper routes(one before school, one after) mowing lawns, baby sitting, you name it, than my own businesses, started several corps.(1 still manufacturing) have slept in my van when times were tough and walked away from my last closing with $1.3M.
    .
And I still work 7 days a week...although on a nice Friday afternoon like today I'm enjoying a little vino and I think I'll take a little nap

    2. Dad started me working in the fields when I was five. I'll turn sixty in November, and can honestly say I have been working for fifty-five years.

My first job was to walk along behind the setter and plant skips (when one of the folks on the transplant rig missed a pocket). The next year I was tall enough to swing a cut-down hoe, so I was on the hoe crew in the spring, then on the loading crew when it came to harvest. I worked on the farm for a bit twenty years, going to college close enough to home to come work on the weekends once I got to that age. One of the really big days for me was when my brother hired a crew of Mexicans to help pick watermelons, and I got a dollar-and-a-half an hour raise so I'd be making as much as a wetback.

    3. For the most part, many of us in the over 40 age group have similar stories. I have been working since I was about 12 in one form or another

    4. I never had a payroll or steady job until I was 18, but ever since I was 11 or 12 I babysat, mowed yards, hunted worms for the local bait shop, picked fruit or vegetables, something.
My dad gave me 3 bucks a week for allowance until I was 14, then he boosted it to 5 bucks. If I wanted something that was more than my allowance, I had to go out and earn the difference.

  24. Not until the n-th replay did I understand what she was saying. Her parents had her without her permission and the court agreed with that? SHE is not the problem here, any court that agreed with her should be locked up and the key thrown away,.

She can't talk with her mouth full.

  31. What ever happened to high school credits for work experience? I was never so avid for stuff my parents couldn't give me for birthday or Christmas, but did babysit, and did my chores, and helped with the administration of all the activities in which I was involved. I leapt at the chance to get a job for high school credits.

I had three jobs, working seven days a week, when I was 21. The world had to literally beat my avidity for civic productivity out of me. I ended up a hermit who turned that into a bottomless avidity to learn things and grow spiritually.

I think the youngsters have been poisoned. Their endocrine systems and brains don't work right. We should be feeding them clean food and pumping them full of vitamins and minerals and strapping them into chairs for re-education. Sheesh. --nines

  34. We gave my step kids a certain amount of money each week for allowance, if they did their "chores" without complaining. They complained, lost their allowance, and still had to do their chores. Now all three of them talk disparagingly about their classmates who were coddled.

    1. Same thing in my family. My small (and I do mean small, it was 3 bucks a week until I turned 14, then I got a 2 dollar raise) was earned by me, not just given by them.
