Curly fries aren't that damned good

HOUSTON - An argument over Jack in the Box curly fries lead to an employee pulling out a gun and shooting at a customer in the drive-thru. The victims are now suing the franchise, demanding stricter background checks on its workers.

  1. I went to a Burger King drive-thru in Houston some years ago. I wanted to order a la carte, not menu item 1, not menu item 6. The order taker was obviously black and, while I was trying to order, started macking a co-worker while I he was on microphone. I objected. He launched into a profanity laced racist tirade against "white motherfuckers" and told me I would not get any food.

I drove around and went in to complain to the manager. The nagger came around the corner of his alcove and continued his rant. The manager, literally, shrugged. They gave me the food and did not charge me for it. Knowing about people spitting into food, I took the food with me, discarded it, and ate at a Schlotzky's just down the street.

I wrote an email to the corporate folks and never got a response. I have never been to a Burger King ever since.

  2. Curly fries eaten by themselves are too salty and really don't add much to a meal. But cut up, mixed up with some meat and an egg cooked in skillet or microwave and they are pretty good wrapped in a breakfast taco. Preseasoning does help here.

  3. How could the female silverback miss hitting the wetback at close range? I see remedial shooting classes in her future.

  5. Maybe regular curlies aren't worth it, but seasoned curlies...
