Gunmakers Could Take a Stand & Stop Arming the Disarmers

“Are you going to arm an increasingly tyrannical government deep state takeover seeking to diminish AMERICANS’ CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS and intending to target and abuse your customers?” colleague Dave Licht asks gun manufacturers on my War on Guns Placeholder blog. “Will you keep arming the states and agencies that unconstitutionally restrict your customers from buying your products? Will you keep arming the officers in states that intend to red flag your customers and seize their property purchased from you, without notice, hearing, or due process?”

  1. Board members who profit will disagree with this approach. This is a nothing burger. Its all about the Benjamins

    1. The business if business is making money. This is true for every business from the kid cutting lawns or throwing newspapers to multinational corporations.

However, in this case, what would happen is if forced to, gun and ammo mfgs would forego the civilian market in favor of gov contracts. Ultimately the mfgs would have one customer - the state - then become subsumed into the gov.

Instead of wanting the mfgs to shorten their business, The People should get off their dead ass and force the gov to do the will of The People.
This is difficult only because it has gone on so long. Tge corollary is it will ever become more difficult until people rise to subdue the politicians.

  2. I seem to recollect that Barret Rifles stopped servicing rifles to California a time back. Whether or not they still do it I have no idea. Seems to me if the gun manufacturers would stop supplying and servicing weapons to states that have inane gun restrictions, this bullshit would stop.

  3. Remember when Barrett refused to return 50 caliber rifles to California for their ban on them?

  4. As consumers we make our voice heard. Make a pledge like Ronnie Barrett's letter with a strongly worded fuck You.

I won't buy any more anything from manufacturers that don't sign on to this pledge as well.

Take a copy to your local gun store, bring several to the gun shows, mail a copy to every manufacturer with your signature on it.
Cancel culture works because companies are afraid of losing sales (money). Threaten Glock and Smith and Wesson's consumer sales, betcha they do something.

  5. Indeed he did. San Bernardino sheriff was considering the .50BMG, when the guvinatuh signed the ban. My brother-in-law was a deputy at the time, and he said they decided not to buy. I asked who they were considering. When he said, “Barrett.” I said “You didn’t decide against it! Barrett told you to pound sand, CA law enforcement isn’t getting my rifles, because of California’s ban!”

  6. Naw, that won't work. The stupid sons-a-bitches would just go and buy from some foreign company, and then when they finally run American manufacurers out of business, they'll be stuck paying whatever prices are then demanded by the foreign makers because they can't see any farther than their noses- and they'll raise taxes, paid by us, to procure ever more guns and ammunition.

  7. Hornady. If civilians can't buy their product in your state, neither can law enforcement.
All I buy in carry ammo.
