Maybe rethinking their new gun shipping policies might help some

(AP) - FedEx said Thursday it is shuttering storefronts and corporate offices while putting off new hires in a belt-tightening drive brought on by drop-off in its global package delivery business.

The company based in Memphis, Tennessee, warned it will likely miss Wall Street’s profit target for its fiscal first quarter that ended Aug. 31. And it said it expects business conditions to further weaken in the current quarter amid weaker global volume.

Its stock fell more than 16% in after-hours trading following the announcement.

  4. Maybe Fedex is still guns and ammo, but their rhetoric on changing their policies on gun and ammo shipments is still out there. Maybe the credit card companies haven't begun to code and track gun and ammo sales yet, but the stories that they are planning to do so are still out there.
These two companies are finding out that gun owners and those that support the 2nd Amendment are prickly about any hint that their rights are being attacked and fight back quickly.

And yet puddingcup, the Fed Reserve, and that treasonous lot continue to blabber consumer demand caused inflation.

Mark my words, fast approaching is when the elite pack up their suitcases of cash and skedaddle. They always do.

    1. Who doesn't know the price of gold? I can tell you within 10 bucks any day of the week, but I have absolutely no idea what any model of Rolex goes for.

  7. Thought there was federal law prohibiting common carriers from discriminating on what cargo they handle (except perhaps for safety reasons, e.g., lithium batteries). For example, what if UPS decided it would no longer ship sex toys, or birth control items, or political or religious materials? (Especially certain political or religious items!) Would them discriminating against Second Amendment type items, particularly at the behest of certain government actors, be considered a Constitutional violation?

  8. The one time I had to ship a gun, I had labeled the package as antique tools.
