"Prologue To Third World War": Kremlin Reacts To Security Guarantees For Ukraine

Ukraine wants a 'NATO-esque' bloc which can be called upon to immediately defend borders with Russia, which was proposed by a working group established by President Volodymyr Zelensky. Crucially it would include the United States and other NATO allies providing Ukraine with "security guarantees". Kiev officials stressed in unveiling the plan Tuesday that it's not meant as a replacement for NATO, but as a legally binding alliance to be in place while Ukraine eventually pursues full NATO membership, as Newsweek describes of the proposal:

The Kyiv Security Compact (KSC)—proposed by Andriy Yermak, the head of Zelensky's office, and former NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen—would also establish a "multi-decade" plan of investment, military training, and intelligence sharing to bolster Ukraine's defensive capabilities as the country pursues full NATO membership.

The Kremlin's reaction has been swift and fierce, with Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev warning that it is "really a prologue to the Third World War" if it gets enacted. He described that nuclear holocaust would be the end result.

    2. Brandon has no idea what is going on nor even what day of the week it is. Ephesians 6:12 is what is happening and tells who is in charge.

  2. Maybe the global elites who have very deep, ultra-secure, self-sustaining, guarded shelter see the coming nuclear nuke festival as an efficient catharsis for elimination of the global overpopulation of peasants.

    1. Yeah, he's losing so badly he brought an entire continent to its knees. Go here and scroll down a bit to the graphic, then decide if the Russians are an empty paper bag.

    2. I agree. I think this is far from over. I've been reading the analyses anon posts. Makes one wonder what's really going on over there.

    3. Pray tell, Wirecutter, what continent might that be? The Europeans are working to get around the Rooskies and the solutions are well advanced. Putin is scaping out prisons, and picking up drunks because he is desperate for cannon fodder.

From my observations, Putin is in dire straights and has no solution to his military problems. The Azerbaijanis have kicked off their war with the Armenians again because Putin has withdrawn his troops from Armenia in an attempt to keep the body count up in his pathetic Army. The Russians have been routed in the northern Donbas. I don't expect that to last as runaway offensives cause their own set of problems.

There are two questions that will be answered. 1. How far will the Russians run. Many have already run for Mother Russia and Putin is re-establishing what Stalin used the NKVD for when too many of the Red Army tried running east.

      2. How long will the pause last for Ukraine to get its act together again so it can resume to push to the east. Give the difference in competence, it won't Ukraine very long. Russia, by contrast, is ridden with corruption and incompetence and is why they have not accomplished their initial objectives, much less their long term objectives and are very unlikely to accomplish anything but getting a bloody stump back to the motherland.

    4. You didn't go to the link I provided, huh?
Europe is the continent. In case you haven't been reading the news, they have damned little food for the next year and their pipelines for fuel have been shut down. They're looking at a hard, cold winter and a starving summer. That's from the Europeans own mouths and that's how you bring a country to its knees.
Militarily, I don't believe a shitting thing coming from either the Russians or Ukrainians mouths. The amount of propaganda from both sides is unbelievable.

  5. If I recall correctly, the US, Britain, and Russia did give Ukraine 'security guarantees' upon the breakup of the Soviet Union, which convinced them to give up their nukes.

    1. Yeah....political promises. Only good until the next election.

    2. The US and NATO also promised Russia we wouldn't expand East, numerous times, yet we've done so, numerous times.
      This whole mess is ours.

    3. Ukraine had to give up its nukes because it was caught trying to sell some of the warheads. A few years later it was caught trying to sell nuclear materials.
It's the most corrupt country in Europe, even worse than Russia and that's really saying something!

    4. No such assurances were given about the expansion of NATO. The statements supposedly made on the matter were attributed to people that never said anything about it. Like everything else about this war, it's all on Putin and his ambitions to re-establish the Soviet union which he misses deeply.

  6. The reason Bidet & Co. are worrying about Ukraine had absolutely nothing to do with helping the poor oppressed Ukrainian people fight off the evil Russians , its all about the Russians getting the dirt on the graft and corruption all our politicians are involved with and disseminating all that information . It could make a lot of influential and powerful people look worse than they already do .they have a lot to hide and would risk burning everything down to keep it hidden .
