Alderman Thomas Dillard made the proclamation to WSMV Investigates when he came to the city council meeting to hold him accountable for what we’d uncovered: that a series of police body camera footage shows him making racist remarks to a biracial family living next door to him.

Tom doesn't stand a chance in hell of winning the mayor's race though. Portland's where both my father and mother-in-law and brother-in-law and his wife live, about 35 miles west of here, and over the past few years it's quickly becoming a bedroom community of Nashville, about 30 miles SSW.
