U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- UPS has released strict new rules for shipping firearms just months after canceling some gun dealers’ accounts and destroying packages in transit.
The new rules came in response to a letter sent by five anti-gun senators, which blamed UPS and 27 other carriers for escalating violent crime rates.
Maybe some entrepreneur will create a new company "Door-Gun-Dash".
ReplyDeleteGun buyers and gun dealers should boycott UPS.
ReplyDeleteAfter the news about the IRS buying guns and getting a sweetheart deal on the ammo buys (I heard 16 cents per round), I got to thinking: I wonder if the U S Gubmint persuaed UPS to send them the arms & ammo shipments, but claim they were destroyed to get points with the anti-gun crowd?
The FBI probably told UPS that they had convinced some mentally disabled person in Michigan to buy a gun, have it shipped via UPS, kill the governor, and then causing UPS to be sued by the DOJ and FBI for enabling this. It would not be the first time something like this payed out.
ReplyDeleteI heard Tom Gresham yesterday say that Fed-ex and the USPS follows suit, .gun owners and dealers will be screwed. The post office would likely be an easy one for anti gun politicians to get to .toe the line so Fed-ex is the only one left, and who knows what they might do?
ReplyDeletekeep an eye on this issue, in case a bunch of complaints are needed.
Gun parts now self-identifying as Legos
ReplyDelete"5 anti-gun Senators"-- Edward Markey (D-Mass.), Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Cory A. Booker (D-N.J.), Christopher S. Murphy (D-Conn.) and Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) Or as I call them, "The Usual Suspects."
ReplyDeleteSo if you're the average non-FFL citizen and your firearm is recalled, and your only option is UPS, then you're pretty much fucked.
I suggest we all boycott UPS whenever possible.
I had to go to two different UPS stores to get a 1960s era Daisy BB gun shipped for repairs. The first one outright refused despite the information posted online that shipping a BB gun was allowed.
ReplyDeleteLast time I shipped a firearm I had it labeled as "antique tools".
