Yeah, they don't go for that shit in Tennessee

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WREG) — A teacher at Chimneyrock Elementary no longer works for the school following a social media post that caused controversy, the Memphis-Shelby County Schools district said Wednesday.

  1. I learned the hard way early in my professional career to never post anything on social media. Honestly, I tell my kids now as teenagers to make a choice: have social media where you express yourself, or plan on having a career... stupid crap you think is funny and post today could exclude you from a job 10 years from now, when that 'funny' thing becomes socially unacceptable. Ask a few pro-atheletes about it.

  2. "The teacher “fell off the wagon when two nonverbal autistic students were put in my class.” It also says the gummies keep the teacher “away from alcohol.”

A perfectly valid excuse as far as I'm concerned. Far more environmentally friendly than firing up a doobie in class. Gotta think of the little darling's lungs.

  3. Anybody remember the Special Ed kids, maybe a half-dozen or so IN THEIR OWN CLASSROOM?

Come to think of it, they were usually the fat kids in school as well, not a lot of normal kids that were even "Husky" in size.

I guess it makes sense that the majority of people now are fat and retarded.

  4. Not condoning what he/she (they?/ze?) did, but a couple of non-verbal autistic kids thrown into a classroom where the teacher is not trained to handle their needs? That school principal was just asking for trouble.

  5. There's a lot we don't go for in TN. It's a FAFO state. Also a right to work state with castle doctrine.
