Gasoline prices in California jumped another 11 cents overnight, reaching an average of $6.29 a gallon Friday, according to AAA.
*****
In the meantime, gas prices here in Macon County have been declining slowly but surely, a penny or two at a time. When I was last in town, it was $3.09 a gallon.
But in Modesto, the area I came from, the gas prices are twice that. I'm not fucking kidding. Here's a sampling from gasbuddy.com:
Average here in Mat-Su Valley (north of Anchorage by 50miles) is around $5- $5.20 unleaded. It was around $4.30’s. Price jumped by $0.50 or so overnight. Not sure how that works? Amazing how what was in stations underground storage became more expensive by sitting in the tank. The station paid X dollars delivered and magically it became X dollars plus $0.50 more. Well, at least I know my car now goes faster and further with this more expensive gas. And the mind numbing part is, Alaska is loaded with petroleum (fossil fuel, phrase coined by Rockefeller to make public believe petroleum is special) and Pedo Pete won’t let us drill. (not enough room here to mention sen. murky’s betrayal) Oh yeah, FJB.
ReplyDeleteIt changes in price because they have to make enough money to buy the replacement for the gallon you bought.
DeleteTanks, never thought of that.
DeleteGas had gotten down to $3.28 per gallon here before jumping back up to $3.59 overnight.
ReplyDeleteYou're damned right, you're not fucking kidding! I paid $6.20/gallon last Sunday in my podunk Western town!!! That was about $15.50 each for two 2.5 gallon gas cans!!! FIFTEEN-FUCKING-FIFTY for TWO AND A HALF FUCKING GALLONS OF REGULAR!!!
ReplyDelete...But just keep giving away our STRATEGIC petroleum reserves, Traitor Joe... I'm sure you see America dancing in the streets when their gas prices "PLUMMET" by a penny...
$5.59 for premium in Arizona this morning. That's all the Harley can drink.
ReplyDeleteIt jumped 21 cents here in Tulsa
ReplyDeleteAll of the Biden Administration efforts, including draining the SPR, were to keep gasoline prices down until after the midterm elections. Like the Dallas Cowboys that drive failed and the pleas to petroleum producers to increase production was a field goal attempt that failed, badly.
ReplyDeleteThey have nothing left to try and the ball and the score at the pump is heading back the other way.
We'll have the ten dollars a gallon that they have always wanted, probably by Spring.
Get ready for a long cold winter, very cold indoors for people that can't afford the price of fuel oil or natural gas.
Gee how did that ever happen? I mean, after all, Joe Biden inherited an energy independant country when he took the presidential reins from Donald Trump. What ever could he have done? Did he-
ReplyDeletePlay kissy-face with our enemies?
Shut down domestic oil production?
Call our friends and allies derogatory names?
Finance foreign battles?
Abandon allies in the midst of unrest?
NAW!!! It couldn't be any of that, could it?
