Officers arrested comedian and actor Andy Dick on Oct. 13 for burglarizing a home under construction in Santa Barbara, according to the Santa Barbara Police Department.
"Officers arrested Dick on a charge of felony residential burglary and booked him in the Santa Barbara County Main Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond. Dick was still in custody on Thursday afternoon."
So there are some crimes that are taken seriously in California after all.
Was that a true story? I had heard it before but didn't know it was urban legend. Of course I want to believe it cause I like Lovitz (and Hartman) and that would be poetic justice.
I remember watching a bit of his reality type show some years back. It was every bit of the train wreck I thought it would be. As I remember, he was more or less auditioning some ladies (probably a safe-ish job, he always seemed flaming as hell) to be his assistant or something, and making them do lame reality show type stuff. All of these people genuinely seemed to think his was the star they could hitch themselves onto. I remember one episode they took a lie detector test, and one of the questions was "Do you consider Andy to be an A-list celebrity?" They all answered yes and all passed, and every time, Andy was just tickled at the thought of someone else thinking he was A-list. It was so sad. His entire existence was so sad, I remember.
I guess without a budget and camera crew to follow him around, he really doesn't have money to do anything these days. Oh well.
Some may call an ass hole a comedian

Saw his picture and the only thing funny about him is his face. Hes like a gaunt version of John Fetterman with blond hair.
ReplyDeleteStealing tools? I cannot imagine this fruitcake stealing tools. Toys, perhaps. Sex toys, definitely. Tools - nope.
ReplyDeleteTools are a easy sell, especially to illegals working the trades. So it’s quick money for drugs.
DeleteHis last name says it all. Nemo

"Don't be White and commit a crime in California" is the moral of this story.
DeleteIf you're not in Santa Barbara County jail, you ain't Dick...

The comedian John Lovitz became my hero when he beat the shit out of Andy Dick for giving drugs to Phil Hartman's wife.

DeleteNew intro: "So, was walking past this construction site..."Audience laughs.
