Piss poor journalism - doesn't say whether they were sweet or dill pickles
A homeless man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing a woman in the head with a pair of scissors and later throwing a jar of pickles at another woman in North Hollywood earlier this week.
The problem here is not Cole, but rather the ubiquitous scissors in this country. No one needs high capacity assault scissors, and I mean no one. Small 1" max scissors should be all that's allowed and all that's needed by the public. and they should be safety scissors with the rounded ends, like the ones you were given in 2nd grade to cut paper. People should not complain that they have to take 5 times as many snips with 1" blade scissors or safety scissors than with those with 5" blades. Think of all the children's lives that will be saved.
Also, one can just go into a store and buy a pair of scissors with no questions asked. I call for universal background checks on all scissors purchases.
And another problem is those damn "ghost" scissors which now account for virtually all scissors sold. The cops will NEVER be able to trace where Cole got his scissors from because of the lack of serial numbers. Therefore, all manufacturers should be required to serialized each pair of these killing machines that they sell. The BATFE can now add another letter to their moniker and call themselves the BATFES! Nothing should stand in the way of the safety of our citizens.
And for all the pairs of scissors already out there, there should be a buyback program.
If all these steps are taken, I'm sure that crimes committed with scissors will plummet, just as the crimes committed by firearms. Hmmm wait a minute.... Never mind!

Gherkins?
ReplyDeleteWorse yet, the victim's mother blamed the attack on the system for not caring for the homeless, and said it wasn't his fault.
