#20. When I was a kid you never saw ad-hoc memorials on the side of the road. Now there’s a memorial every two miles or so. Have we become that bad at driving?
There is a moldy ad hoc "shrine" on the road to my dwelling... stuffed animals, football team flags. I suspect nobody will remove it for the likely gang connections. What does a Kansas City Chiefs flag actually mean, anyhow? I wonder if the HOA is responsible for that ... er, I mean, "fo dat". Even with the shrine, the little goblins drive like it was GTA. Many such cases. SAD!
When I was young in the 60s I saw these everywhere. https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-x-marks-the-spot-warning-signs-fatality-markers-in-south-dakota-these-13667077.html
@11 I've owned three log homes. Own one now. In the mornings I was/am on the porch and it is quiet man. I'm on the porch right now. Just repaired three gates in the fields. I gotta cuppa Joe and a good dip going.
The only time I ever witnessed sexual harassment, it was a 6' 4", 350 lb flaming gay guy. Picture Rip Taylor in a Frankenstein-sized body, and that's our offender. The victim was a young German guy who worked for a vendor we'd hired. Well, Rip Taylor was all over the German for a week, and when the kid didn't go for it Rip got abusive. Started insulting his German heritage, called him Nazi, asked how many Jews his dad had killed, etc. Way over the line. Nothing could be done about it though, because Rip Taylor was a manager in HR. The vendor had to pull the poor kid from the job, send him back to Germany, and replace him.
20 -Hahaha

Just what the families of the dead want to see every time they drive past the spot.
