Velshi: 'Especially Foolish' To Blame Biden, Democrats For Inflation

MSNBC’s Ali Velshi took his Saturday show on the road to Detroit to get local insights into the upcoming midterms. The setting also provided Velshi with a prime location to talk about the economy and to declare that “is especially foolish” to blame President Biden and Democrats for high inflation.

Velshi began his monologue by acknowledging that while he may speculate about the end of democracy, most people aren’t as concerned with that, “The point is that high inflation is bad. It’s really bad. But it is actually not the fault of Joe Biden or Democrats.”

  1. Nope. Indeed. It is not Joe's fault.
It is the fault of those who VOTED for Joe that are to blame.

    1. That's assuming they DID actually vote him in.
There plenty of suspicion, if not evidence, to the contrary.

  2. Ali Velshi is your typical MSNBC host. He sounds really smart while saying really stupid things.

Al Sharpton is the exception to this rule. He sounds really stupid while saying really stupid things. Kind of like Ali Velshi's hero, Joe Biden.

  3. "Remember January 6th!"

Yes. Gas was $2.29 or some such on average for a gallon, and groceries were not only affordable but in stock. Everything that's happened since isn't Joe Biden's fault (nothing is his fault, the man can't even dress himself in the morning at this point) it's the fault of his handlers.

    And it's all intentional.

  4. I hate to point this out, but much of the inflation we've seen so far is the result of the unrestrained profligacy that took place in Trump's last year in office. Joey shitpants does get the blame for fuel prices, due to the fuckery he immediately inflicted on the domestic oil market, and the sanctions against Ukraine, which not only unwound a lot of trade deficit sequestration (to our immediate detriment), but utterly screwed the oil market balance worldwide.

That said, all the inflation from this point forward is entirely on president kiddydiddler, as he has now made the fiscal irresponsibility of 2019 look like chickenshit money, comparatively speaking. Keep in mind that it takes about 18 months for obscene govt spending to filter through to the economy at large. Which means 2023 is gonna be a bitch, on multiple fronts.

    1. Actually, the inflation we have seen so far is a result of Biden. The inflation we are experiencing is a direct result of the increase in fuel and energy costs, not due to an abundance of currency in circulation, though that isn't helping.

    2. In the last two years of trump's presidency Democrats controlled congress and the purse strings. I believe we would have had some mild inflation if Trump were reelected but no where what we are seeing now.

    3. Trump signed off on over $1T in deficit spending his last year in office. You can bet your ass that is a part of the inflation we saw in the last 2 years. The ongoing supply chain issues caused by covid shutdowns (which Trump foolishly went along with at the behest of his lying fuckfaced "experts") has also impacted food supply and cost, and building/ durable goods supply and costs as well. That has also had a lasting impact on the labor pool, further screwing things up.

I'm not saying that so much to bash Trump - though he deserves much criticism for his failings - but to point out that we have much worse inflation still inbound due to what stumblefuck poopypants has done since he entered office. That 18 month lag is going to hit us square in the scrote next year. A double whammy, if you will, that we can ill afford.

  6. Inflation is one of the negative side effects of having a mail order president.

  7. Inflation is the direct result of printing money with no way to pay for it. That makes your money worth less, thus, inflation.

  8. And I'm supposed to take serious a guy with his name on his coat like a kindergartener, and a dumb hat.
