Well, I see my old hometown of Modesto made the grade

According to a new study from WalletHub, some California cities aren’t regarded as safe.

The personal finance company compiled a list of the “Safest Cities in America” based on 42 safety metrics and cities from the Golden State performed poorly.

  1. Sorry to hear that. I go to my home town on rare occasion. I haven't been there in probably ten years. It's a small town on the Canadian border. A tourist trap. I left at eighteen and don't know anyone anymore but it's pretty much the same. I mainly go to walk in the woods. Lots of lakes, ponds and streams I enjoy going to. I hope next time up I can still climb one mountain in particulair. As a kid I used to stay in the fire ranges camp up there a couple weeks every summer. The husband and wife were like second parents to me. The log cabin is long gone but the tower still stands as do the memories.

    1. I'm not sure which way the list runs. Is the higher number better or worse?

  3. This list is racist. Notice how they rank cities with large black populations as far less safer. Just tryin' to hold that black man down. This is bu-u-llshit.

  5. The lower the number is rated to be the safer city. Cities were picked based on population and to seem fair they included the top 2 in each state. Looking at the metrics they used such as # of fully vaccinated and gave it double weight, and left out several categories of crime like carjacking it's all bullshit.
