Before revealing any of this to the two congressional intelligence committees to which the FBI reports, it experimented with the software. The experiments apparently consisted of testing Pegasus by spying — illegally and unconstitutionally since no judicially issued search warrant had authorized the use of Pegasus — on unwitting Americans by downloading data from their devices.

Commentary: Americans Should Pay Close Attention to the FBI and Zero-Click
During the Trump administration, the FBI paid $5 million to an Israeli software company for a license to use its “zero-click” surveillance software called Pegasus. Zero-click refers to software that can download the contents of a target’s computer or mobile device without the need for tricking the target into clicking on it. The FBI operated the software from a warehouse in New Jersey.

Do away with all Congressional committees. What one hears they should all hear, anything less destroys equal representation. And yes, do away with the FBI (and all other Fed agencies). That's the "great reset" we need.

DeleteHow can our professional betters do The People's Business(TM)? If the people are allowed to know what business their professional betters are up to?
Knowing what we know about the FBI, we should presume that they have illegally used this from day one and will forever.

DeleteThey passed the so called Patriot Act in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. It expired some years later, and they didn't just renew it, but they added even more obnoxious and intrusive portions to it, that would infringe on American citizen's rights, without all that much push back from anyone.
ReplyDeleteNow we are just seeing what the results of such innocent sounding laws actually result in.
Things are not getting any better, people. The big red wave that was expected in the midterms didn't happen. And it can't be blamed on the voters. It is the total fault of the impotent Republicans, who don't have a clue of how to run either a local, state, or nationwide campaign. The Democrats have had a long time to learn how to both run an election, and how to cheat at one.
I don't know enough about politics, but I do know this. If former president Trump runs for president again, and is the Republican nominee, the Democrat running against him, no matter who it is, will win, in a landslide.
