Three Williamson County family members pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice and making false entries regarding the disposition of firearms, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ).
“Alan Hassler, 49, Brian Hassler, 52, and Michael Hassler, 45, all of Franklin, Tennessee, and co-owners of Franklin Gun Shop, a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) in Williamson County, Tennessee, were charged in September following a federal regulatory inspection by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF),” said a DOJ release.
BATF's core mission is to deprive American citizens of their constitutional/natural/God given rights. The constitution acknowledges our rights, not grant them. There, fixed it.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember much about this case, but if these guys really did what they pled to, they fucked up, and deserve to get slammed. This kind of garbage is what can cause trouble for the FFL dealers who try to do the right thing, and are scammed by the BATFE with a simple misspelling or other simple form mistake.
ReplyDeleteMy FFL that handles any online purchase from me, used to charge 20$, and had to raise it to 25$, and felt bad about it. I myself felt bad about buying online, instead of from them, but when I can buy a gun for less than the local dealer himself can order it for, I can't help it.
I got my last pistol, a Ruger Mark IV, 22/45, for 278$, free shipping. I think it was less than 2 years ago. I saw a Taurus G3C with 3 magazines listed today for 165$ after a 25$ rebate. That was not free shipping, but a hell of a deal. A Taurus 44 Magnum, 4" bbl, 599$, free shipping. This is the time to buy if you plan on a new gun in the near future.
Why are these even illegal? The real thing isn't like Hollywood's.
ReplyDeleteoops, wrong story, meant to put it in the cop silencer post
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Pen. They did wrong and they deserve the punishment. I am a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). Because of the overreach by Biden and the ATF, I have stopped doing firearms transfers for anybody except for close friends and family.
ReplyDeleteYes, the ATF has succeeded in "shutting me down" but I also run a gunsmithing business, and I can't afford to get my FFL yanked for any reason. The risk for performing a transfer for a stranger is just not worth the $35 "reward" that I receive. It really sucks because I believe every citizen who can lawfully possess a firearm should be able to do so. However, until the ATF is held accountable for enforcing only those laws passed by Congress, I'm not going to endanger my retirement livelihood.
ATF is in it entirety a demonic organization. I don't have any problem with folks willing to mess with the ATF. More power to them if they can get away with it. If I was on the jury I would not convict the offender no matter how clear their actions violate the "laws."
