The day after two inmates escaped from their work area in Lincoln County, authorities announced one inmate had been captured, but the other one was already dead.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department said Eric Short was taken into custody in Morgan County, Alabama on Sunday, Nov. 13.
However, Michael Bowden was found dead — possibly from hypothermia — in the same county, according to law enforcement.
