The Quigley Shoot

  2. Modern buffalo matches are great fun; the shooter with a spotter lobbing big chunks of lead and tin towards steel silhouettes, the spotter often able to see the bullet fly into the target. Rifle scopes are usually limited to period correct, which means fixed magnification with external adjustments via the mounts, and ensuring you return the scope to the pre-recoil position. If you're running iron sights, you'll learn real fast how to use a Vernier scale and how a good spotter can make or break your match. The only downside is the financial commitment for beginners in getting a good rifle and reloading gear for relatively large cartridges.

  3. although it looks like fun, and it is; and Montana looks beautiful, and it is; keep in mind that Montana is full. We do hear that the Dakotas are nice, however.
