"You need to just sit down and shut the fuck up until the law gets here"

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – A pair of homeowners fought back after a terrifying home invasion. The couple told News 4 they were determined to make sure the two suspects who had just broken into their home had no chance to escape before police arrived.

    Perhaps for some, there is as the New Testament days, redemption and forgiveness, but for those with multiple prior raps, they've shown they are beyond such and thus need to be kept locked up and away from society.

      12 ga. makes a BIG mess. It is VERY effective, but if shot at 10 feet, the pellets have not yet left the cup, the entrance wound is about 3/4" in diameter, but the subjects back has a 2-3" hole.

    while I realize "FOX" local have the worst editors and it is near impossible to figure out what they are trying to report...

    It was the wife who "fought back". I see no mention of actions by the husband.

    Police say the best thing is just let the bad guys go, and let us do our jobs. Come on! Best thing is to make sure the bad guys never have a chance of repeated offenses. Never.

      Exactly what I was going to say! We are tired of "letting them do their job" when they aren't that good or some leftist DA is not going to do his job.
      The results from the other story is the correct answer to home invasions or other crimes.
      And I absolutely hate it when the leftists try to say it is only property, a TV or something. Bitch, I had to work X number of hours for that and when you take someone's property, you are actually taking their TIME which seems like an action (slavery) they always whine about.

    I'm kind of reminded of the time about 20 years ago some kid tried breaking into my parents' house, in the afternoon. He banged on the front door for about a minute and assumed nobody was home when the door wasn't answered. He proceeded to kick in the back door and ran into my mother at the top of the stairs, who threw a can of beans at his head. He freaked out and ran off.

    The police showed up surprisingly fast, even though she called the non-emergency number. She had called me too so I arrived shortly after. I walk in to hear this young cop saying something like "There's no need to be afraid-" and getting cut off by "Afraid? If my hip wasn't so bad I would have run down those stairs and beat his fucking ass. I'm not afraid I'm MAD." My parents had obsessively taken karate back in the 80s so she could throw a punch, the little fucker would not have seen it coming from a woman in her 50s.

    Things have changed in my city in recent years. Police won't even show half the time if you report a break in. In my mind, that just tells me people need to handle things on their own.

    Anybody ever read Heinlein's "Coventry"? Find some godforsaken town, enclose in a large wall and empty every no hope, no change guy in the country. Put some Army rangers there to practice and just keep tossing them in. May have to feed them but it must be cheaper than turning them loose again. Might need a Constitutional Amendment "cruel and unusual" but should reduce crime permanently. Don't forget they can be given weapons also, keeping the crowding down. Those guys chose their way of living.
