PENSACOLA, Fla. — A Florida man is accused of attempting to kill his 86-year-old mother by placing a pillow over her face, authorities said.

He probably heard about Jeanne Calment. When she was 90 a 47 year old lawyer agreed to pay her rent of $500 a month on the condition that he'd inherit her house when she died. She lived to be 122 and out lived the lawyer who died at 77. Over time he paid three times the value of the property.
